The Health Sciences and Human Services Library, University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Libraries are co-hosting a free forum on open access publishing, Ownership and Access in Scholarly Publishing.

David Lipman, M.D.
Director of the National Center for Biotechnology Information, a division of the National Library of Medicine within the National Institutes of Health, will address Emerging Issues in Scientific Publishing.
Chi V. Dang, M.D., Ph.D.
Professor of Medicine, Oncology, Pathology and Molecular Biology & Genetics and Vice Dean for Research, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, will give a second keynote on Valuing New Models of Scholarship in Promotion and Tenure.
The keynote presentations will be followed by discussion among panel members representing the scientific and publishing communities.
